A research assistant position is offered at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland.

 

The position is associated with the project:Improving Diagnosis by Fast Field-Cycling MRI, funded by Horizon 2020 – Development of new diagnostic tools and technologies, H2020-PHC-2014-2015

PHC-11-2015 - Development of new diagnostic tools and technologies: in vivo medical imaging technologies, RIA

 

Start:16.10.2017, duration: 18 months, salary: 3500PLN (gross)

Requirements:

  • Master degree in physics or biophysics (or equivalent)

  • Suitable knowledge in the field of condensed matter physics

  • Fundamental knowledge of properties of biological systems

  • Fundamental programming skills ,

  • Good English (appropriate for communication in scientific community)

  • Knowledge about Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and spin relaxation phenomena will be preferred.

 

Tasks:

  • Analysis of experimental data (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance relaxation) for model, tissue-minicking systems and other biological systems

  • Numerical implementation of theoretical expressions for the data analysis

  • Actively looking for characteristic relaxation properties (markers) of the systems
